Description:  
This award recognizes members for outstanding teaching in adapted physical education, health education, recreation, dance education, and physical education at the elementary, middle and high school levels.

Description:  
Award may be given to one individual who has made significant contributions to WAHPERD. This award is WAHPERD’s highest honor.

The Marburger-Gates Young Professional Award

Description:  
This award may be given to up to three members who have demonstrated qualities of leadership and service to WAHPERD and the profession. Individuals who strive toward the highest levels of personal and professional accomplishment, who excel in their chosen field, devote time and energy to their community in a meaningful way, and forge paths of leadership for other educators to follow.

Nancy Raso Eklund "Live to Lead" Award

Description: 
This award is designed to recognize the long-term accomplishments in leadership in HPERD particularly within the state of Wyoming.  It will be presented to one person who embodies Nancy Raso Eklund’s spirit of serving the profession with knowledge, dedication, integrity, exemplary contributions and leadership. Nancy believed in the importance of our profession and possessed a drive to advocate for the students and physical educators of Wyoming and beyond. In addition, Nancy lived what she promoted.
